Signature Generator

Type your name and pick a script style, or draw your signature by hand — then download a transparent PNG for documents and emails. Nothing is uploaded.

The PNG has a transparent background, so it drops cleanly onto documents. Note: this creates a signature image — it is not a certified e-signature service.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose Type to render your name in a script style, or Draw to sign by hand with a mouse, trackpad, or finger.
  2. Pick an ink color that matches your documents.
  3. Download the transparent PNG and drop it into contracts, PDFs, or your email signature.

How it works

The signature is rendered onto an HTML canvas on your device and exported as a PNG with a transparent background, so it composites cleanly over any document without a white box around it.

Note the distinction: this creates a signature image. Certified e-signature services (like DocuSign or Adobe Sign) additionally record identity verification and an audit trail, which some legal contexts require. An image pasted into a document doesn't carry that.

Frequently asked questions

Is a signature image legally binding?

In many places, contracts can be validly signed with an image of a signature — but this tool is not an e-signature service and provides no identity verification or audit trail. For legally sensitive documents, use a certified e-signature service or ask the recipient what they accept.

How do I get a signature with a transparent background?

Just download — the PNG this tool produces is transparent by default, so it drops onto documents without a white box.

Can I use this on a phone or tablet?

Yes. In Draw mode the canvas accepts touch input, which usually produces a more natural signature than a mouse.
