What happens in your browser

Tallyloom tools are designed to run on your device. The text and numbers you enter into our calculators, converters, and generators — including invoices, receipts, resumes, cover letters, signatures, passwords, QR code contents, and anything you paste into the developer tools — are processed locally in your browser. This input is not uploaded to, or stored on, Tallyloom's servers.

What leaves your device

Two features contact outside services, and neither sends your personal input:

Currency rates. The Currency Converter fetches current exchange rates from frankfurter.dev. Only the rate request is made — the amounts you type stay in your browser.

Tool voting. "I want this" buttons on coming-soon tools send an anonymous +1 to a public counter service (counterapi.dev). No account, name, or input data is attached.

Like any website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested, and browser type) for security and operations.

Local storage

Some tools use your browser's local storage for convenience — for example, remembering that you voted for an upcoming tool, or (where a tool offers save/load) keeping a draft on your own device. This data never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Favorites and recently used tools store only tool shortcuts on this device. You can clear them or turn off recent-tool history under “Manage shortcuts” on the homepage or All Tools page. Named invoice and receipt drafts include the details and logo you choose to save. Business profiles store your business contact details, logo, currency, and invoice theme; they exclude client details. Each saved draft and business profile has an explicit delete or clear control.

When you continue from an invoice to a receipt, from crop to resize to compress, or from a palette to its contrast check, the selected data is held temporarily in this tab's memory. It is not put into the page URL or sent to a server. Loading a transfer consumes it; discarding it, reloading, or closing the tab clears it.

Analytics and advertising

Tallyloom uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly counter, to see which pages are visited and to count successful copy operations, download and print requests, saved drafts, and transfers between tools. Events contain only a fixed action name and a registered tool path. They never include entered text, calculated values, document details, draft names, filenames, or image contents. Page counts exclude query strings and URL fragments; referrer information is limited to its origin. The counter is cookieless and receives standard request data such as browser type and country. It does not track you across sites. We skip these analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. GoatCounter's own privacy policy is at goatcounter.com/help/privacy.

We are applying to Google AdSense to support the site with advertising. While ads are disabled, Tallyloom uses only Google's publisher-account verification meta tag; it does not load the AdSense advertising script. If ads are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve, limit, secure, and measure advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies based on visits to this and other sites, subject to your choices and applicable law. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent message provides the choices required for advertising cookies and personalized ads. Some limited processing may still be necessary to record consent choices, prevent fraud, protect security, or deliver non-personalized ads. Ads are excluded from embedded tools, legal and trust pages, developer utilities, health tools, and generators that handle sensitive or private input. Any future ad unit is placed after the tool's explanatory content and is labeled as advertising.

Who is responsible for your data

Tallyloom is operated by TallyLoom Software LLC, which acts as the data controller for the limited information described above: server logs kept by our host, and the cookieless page counts collected by GoatCounter. Google acts as an independent controller for any data it processes to serve and measure advertising. You can reach us about any of this through our contact page, which lists a monitored email address.

Your privacy rights and choices

Because tool input never reaches us, we hold no account, profile, or history that could identify you, and Tallyloom does not sell personal information for money. That limits what we can act on — but it does not limit your rights, and the sections below explain how to exercise them.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal basis for server logs and aggregate analytics is legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and understanding which pages are useful; the legal basis for personalized advertising is your consent, given or refused through the consent message shown before ads process your data. You can change that choice at any time by reopening the consent message from the privacy link in the ad frame, or by clearing this site's cookies. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA) or another US state with a privacy law. You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Some state laws may define advertising-related disclosures as "sharing" even when no money changes hands. Advertising personalization can be turned off in Google Ads Settings. You may also contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to make a request. Email us from the contact page describing what you would like us to do. We respond within 30 days (45 for CCPA requests, extendable once where the law allows). Because we hold no account data, we may not be able to link a request to any record of you — where that happens we will say so plainly rather than ask you for identifying information we would otherwise never collect.

Browser-level controls. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals sent by your browser are honored where applicable law requires it. You can also clear this site's local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings, which removes every draft and preference Tallyloom has kept on your device.

Children's privacy

Tallyloom is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially we update the date at the top of the page and describe what changed. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
