About Tallyloom
Everyday tools, woven into one place.
What Tallyloom is
Tallyloom is a free collection of online tools for the small tasks that come up all the time: converting units and currencies, comparing time zones, building an invoice or a resume, generating a strong password or a QR code, and the daily-driver text and developer utilities like JSON formatting and diff checking. There are no accounts, no paywalls, and no clutter — every tool loads fast and works immediately.
Who makes it
Tallyloom is created and maintained by Harvey Smith, MBA, PMP, CSM, CISSP, an information-technology leader based in the Memphis area. His professional work spans technology strategy, information security, enterprise systems, digital experience, project delivery, and responsible AI governance. Harvey personally builds and maintains Tallyloom, checks its calculations and sources, answers the support mailbox, and decides what ships next. The site is owned and operated by TallyLoom Software LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company.
Tallyloom is Harvey's independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by his current or former employers.
How the tools are built
Every calculator shows its formula and states its assumptions, and the math behind each tool is checked against authoritative references before it ships — you can read exactly how in How we build and verify our tools. Finance and health tools carry an informational-only note because a web calculator can inform a decision but shouldn't make it for you.
Privacy, by design
Tallyloom is designed to be privacy-conscious. Nearly every tool runs entirely in your browser: what you type into an invoice, a resume, a password generator, or a dev tool is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. The details — including the short list of things that do talk to the network, like live currency rates — are in our Privacy Policy.
Get in touch
New tools ship regularly, and requests shape the roadmap. If a tool you need is missing, a number looks wrong, or something isn't working the way you'd expect, please get in touch — bug reports about the math get top priority. You can also browse longer explainers behind the calculators in our Guides.
